New Bayern Munich manager, Thomas Tuchel, has claimed teams in England and Europe don’t want to play against the German side.

Tuchel stated this during his official unveiling on Saturday.

The former Chelsea boss replaces Julian Nagelsmann who was sacked by Bayern on Friday.

Tuchel has now admitted that the first conversation between him and the Bundesliga champions took place on Tuesday.

“On Tuesday evening I started thinking about the squad.

“In England and in Paris, they rate Bayern extremely highly.

“Nobody wants to play against Bayern Munich. The size, the strength of the club is undisputed,” Tuchel said.

Bayern will face Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The ties will see Tuchel come up against Pep Guardiola, who he beat to the trophy in 2021.
