INEC begins collation of results in Ogun

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the collation of the results of Saturday’s governorship election in Ogun State.

DAILY POST reports that results from the 20 local governments in Ogun are trickling in for collation and declaration.

The INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Ogun, Niyi Ijalaye, declared the collation centre open on Sunday morning.

Ijalaye explained that the collation and declaration of results could not begin on Saturday because the results were not ready.

Ijalaye announced that Prof. Kayode Adebowale, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan (UI), would be the State Returning Officer.
